Description
The I-94 form registers arrivals and departures of foreigners in the United States, and it has a cost of $6 dollars.
It must be requested and filled out at the moment of arrival.
It may be issued for a period of 6 months.
When you should get it:
- If your visit will last more than 72 hours.
- If your destination is more than 25 miles (42 kilometers) away from the border.
- If you arrive through any of these Sonoran Port of Entries: Sonoyta, Nogales, Naco or Auga Prieta, you can travel up to 65 miles (110 kilometers), as long as your stay is less than 72 hours and within the Arizona state only.
Requirements
- Visa.
- Pay $6 dollar fee.
- Proof of residence.
- Payment Receipts.
- Bank Statement.
- Address of where you will be staying.
Procedure
- Get in line to be interviewed by a CBP officer.
- Pay $6 dollar fee.
- Wait for the permit.
Returning the I-94 form
It must be returned to a CBP officer when departing the United States .
If you intend to go back to the United States in less than 30 days, you can keep the permit, as long as it hasn't expired..
